Pan Government Collaborative Framework Agreement for Civil Engineering Minor Works 2015.

Descriptions

Central Procurement Directorate (CPD) (acting as a Central Purchasing Body) wishes to appoint two economic operators to enter into a Framework Agreement for the provision of minor civil engineering works, including, but not limited to:The construction of roads, footways and car parks: remedial works to existing roads and sewers; fencing, gates and perimeter work; storm / foul drainage / water mains; mass and reinforced concrete work; site clearance / building demolition; earthworks; marine works including underwater work; design services; surveying/geotechnical investigations; structural steelwork; playing fields; minor building works and minor electrical works including street lighting. The Framework Agreement will be based on the NEC3 form of contract conditions. The Framework Agreement can be accessed by any public sector organisation in Northern Ireland requiring works and related services, including but not limited to Government Departments; Agencies; Non-departmental bodies; Local Authorities or other Contracting Authorities (including subsidised bodies or other grant recipients)A list of potential users can be viewed in Appendix A in the tender documentation and by using the following linkhttp://www.dfpni.gov.uk/index/procurement-2/cpd/cpd-customers/collaborative-arrangements-2014/collaborative-arrangements-construction-2014/civil-engineering-minor-works-framework-agreement-2015.htmWork orders are issued to the Economic Operator by CPD on behalf of employers as and when requests for works and related services are received by CPD. It is therefore likely that the Economic Operator will be required to work at more than one location within the Lot at any one time to meet the requirements of Central Procurement Directorate's programme of works. The Economic Operator will be required to provide the service 24 hours per day and 365 days per year (including all weekends and holiday periods)This Framework Agreement may be used to progress Governments wider social, economic and environmental objectives. The works and related services under the Framework Agreement will be undertaken within two geographical regions which can be briefly described as Lot 1, Northern Area and Lot 2, Southern Area.Note: In order to ensure security of supply, the Contracting Authority intends to limit the number of Lots that may be awarded to any one EO to one. The same EO will not therefore be appointed for Lot 1 and Lot 2.
