Leicester City Council, working with the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), has awarded a contract for the provision of the LLEP Strategic Economic Plan for 2017-2022. It is anticipated that that the plan would help provide an overview and understanding of the: •Leicester and Leicestershire economy and its place within regional, national and global economies. •Geography of the area, key projects and connectivity. •National and European investments in the Leicester and Leicestershire area. •Key projects/ interventions that help deliver jobs, housing, inward investment and value for money. •Key industries seen as fundamental to the growth of the local economy. It is also anticipated to act as a source of evidence for businesses (and others) in and outside of the local area, that are interested in finding out more about the Leicester and Leicestershire economy.
