Parc Eirias Development Project - Pitch Protection System

Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) is currently completing the Parc Eirias Development Centre situated in Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay, Conwy. This includes an indoor sports training ‘barn’ of notional 61m x 40m size which has a 3G Tiger Turf pitch with 65mm pile. The scheme also includes a traditional external grass pitch.To increase the flexibility of the indoor space and allow events to be held outdoors, Contractor’s Proposals are invited to provide a pitch protection system which is suitable for both 3G Tiger Turf and grass.Please request a full proposal pack from contactsteam@conwy.gov.uk. Please see below some of the main points: -1. The first use of the pitch protection will be for the official opening of the new development. The supply, delivery and installation costs will need to be in place to cover the 61m x 40m indoor area by 5 pm on Monday 7 November 2011.3. The system will be frequently used for indoor events and stored inside the buildings basement when not required. Please provide details of the man hours required to completely assemble the system by trained operatives. Provide the same for removal. 5. Provide details of the total weight for the system and typical pallet / pack weights when stored.6. The pitch protection system will also be used on the external grass pitch. Whilst the quantity being purchased will not cover the complete external area, ideally additional areas can be hired as required. Please advise if hiring additional areas is possible should there be a future requirement.8. The system is mainly to provide protection from pedestrian loadings but light vehicle use for car shows, etc, will be required. Please provide details of loading limits for the proposed system.11. Advise how long the system can be used to cover natural grass. Please provide details of any drainage / ventilation holes provided to reduce damage to grass below.13. Provide details on UV stability of the system.
