The contract will utilise expertise in Discrete Event Simulation to assist businesses to plan and implement safe working environments, employing innovative methodologies to potentially improve productivity.The above business support will complement the existing support offered by the Welsh Government SMART Suite of programmes.Discrete Event Simulation models will be delivered to selected manufacturing businesses in Wales which will allow these businesses to evaluate the impact of Covid 19 restrictions on the productivity of their business. The models will start as a replica of the ‘as normal’ current factory state, validated against historical data.
