The PPSA, on behalf of South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has a requirement for a managed laboratory service.The Trusts are looking for the provision of a managed service contract for their requirements within their Pathology Department for the provision of Pathology Services, from specimen collection to producing test results as required to meet the needs of their patients and users. The service will include but is not limited to, provision of laboratory equipment and associated maintenance and servicing, and all other associated consumables and reagents, enabling works, interfacing and utilities. As part of the managed service it is the expectation of the Trust that the successful bidder will oversee all aspects of asset management, inventory asset management, staff training for the benefit of the Trust, financial performance, performance management, servicing, maintenance and and will provide the Trust with a high level of assistance to meet, the standards set out within ISO 15189. The successful bidder from Lot 1 will be responsible for delivering the managed service to the standard required and for discharging the Trust's requirements for the services.As part of this procurement for a Managed Service Contract the Trust is looking for solutions to produce analytical results from the following traditional platforms, via separate lots, to include cross platform solutions if possible.Chemistry and ImmunoassayHaematologyCoagulationBlood BankMolecularThe Trust will expect the successful service provider from Lot 1 to manage this risk as part of its service.The successful bidder appointed under Lot 1 will be expected to manage the services provided by the successful bidders appointed in relation to Lots 2-5 inclusive under one single managed service contract. it is anticipated that this will involve the successful bidder of Lot 1 sub-contracting with the successful bidders of Lots 2-5 (if different) on the terms proposed by the Trust and accepted by the Lots 2-5 bidders as part of the tender process.
