Caerphilly County Borough Council Social Services, Adult Services has the requirement for a Mental Health Pathways to Employment Service to enable people with a mental health issue to have appropriate support in order to access an effective range of opportunities that will promote involvement in –Paid EmploymentSupported EmploymentVocational TrainingVolunteering OpportunitiesIn summary, the Pathways to Employment Service will provide:Vocational assessments.Job Matching that involves the individual in the processPersonalised Individual Work Development Plans.Access to a range of work related opportunities.Job Coaching model of support if appropriateAppropriate support following employment and for a period afterwards agreed with the individual.Regular review of arrangementsAny associated risk assessment and management plans to support involvement and engagement in the work environmentThe Pathways to Employment Service provides a specialised service for people with mental health issues who wish to remain or return to the open labour market.
