Proposals agreed by cabinet for the Household Support Fund include services to be delivered by The Bread and Butter Thing. There are three distinct elements: 1.increasing numbers using their services, 2. food provided free to struggling families and 3. registration and distribution of fuel vouchers. The Bread and Butter Thing has been delivering affordable food in Darlington since March 2020 and has an established community network which will enable to deliver this service quickly.
