People's experience of care following contact with Health and Social Care Services

Descriptions

This is a Contract Award Notice The Care Quality Commission (CQC) requires research on people's experiences of care following contact with NHS healthcare services. Our NHS patient survey programme now includes a question asking permission for further contact from CQC to understand personal experiences of care. This is included in our maternity survey, our urgent and emergency care survey, our adult inpatient survey and our community mental health survey. We would like to use this mechanism to explore aspects of patient experience not currently covered in our surveys, such as how individuals are or are not supported to stay well at home upon discharge from hospital. This procurement was undertaken through the CQC Research and Evaluation Framework Lot 7 - Involving people in health and social care and understanding people's experiences of care, following the Further Competition process. The Contract is awarded for an initial period of 12 months with an option to extend for up to 12 months. Total Awarded Value is maximum of all charges including any optional contract extensions.
