DfC intends to negotiate extensions to the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Assessment Services Lot 4 with the incumbent supplier. The proposed extension will have a term of approximately 2 years. The Contract was awarded pursuant to the Health and Disability Assessment Services Framework Agreement (referenced DWP_100255) which commenced in 2012 and expired in 2016. The Framework Agreement was procured pursuant to the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 as a Part B service. The Contract has a term of 5+1+1 years. DfC has exercised 1 year, 8 months and 10 days of this optional extension and is due to expire on 31.7.2019. The original Contract Award date and value is stated below. The Contract relates to the provision of ‘social and other specific services’ within the meaning of Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102) (PCR) and are critical to the provision of statutory “PIP” welfare benefits.
