The University of South Wales, School of Engineering - Automotive Engineering course has been designed with the technological developments of the automotive industry in mind with as much emphasis on the electrical side of vehicle design as mechanical.With the automotive industry rapidly changing and moving towards electrical vehicles the School of Engineering requires a Petrol Engine Hybrid Trainer.Technical requirements are set out below but the full specification for Petrol Engine Hybrid Trainer is in Additional Documents.Petrol Engine Hybrid Training System - SpecificationRequired• Hybrid system used in commercial hybrid car.• Genuine commercial engine with 4 pistons Wit 1.2L minimum, with 50kW minimum.• Electric part with Supply voltages 12V DC auxiliary battery, 220V DC HV battery & 600V DC inverter.• Petrol engine/Hybrid electric system, mounted on a self-contained• Fitted with manufacturers diagnostic sockets.• HV battery can be observed through a protective clear case.• Comprehensive training manual.• Rotating parts fully protected.• Warranty 24 months from date of delivery.• Certification.Other indicative feature or equivalent:• Fitted with HV FWD transaxle with MG1, MG2.• Power split planetary gear.• Motor speed reduction planetary gear.• Counter gear.• Troichoid gear pump.• Shift piston sensor.• Fully working CVT Transmission, complete with drive shafts, hubs, brakes and wheels.• Regeneration of HV system can be observed during ‘off throttle’ in a drive cycle.• Active ready light beacon, flashes when in ready mode to warn of a potential engine start at any time.
