PHE Scientific_Provision of a virus particle counting system

Public Health England (PHE) requires the provision of a virus particle counting system for use in its High Containment Microbiology Laboratories. The system will be used for quantification of virus banks required for the characterisation of ACDP Hazard Group 4 agents. The proposed solution MUST be able to fulfil all of the following requirements: - Be able to quantify virus particles in inactivated banks of viruses - Be able to analyse particles within the size range of 40 nm to 10 µm. - Be able to calculate the concentration of virus samples within the range of 1E5 to 1E11 / mL - Provide information on specific size subtypes. - Be able to characterize individual particles in a sample population - Be ready to run without the requirement for extensive calibration - Be portable for use at different sites - Be suitable for processing inactivated virus samples If you feel that you can meet the above requirements, please email Imran.rahman@phe.gov.uk The closing date and time for any queries is 10th November 2020 at 12:00 pm
