In relation to Kent County Council's Public Health DPS notice number: 323771-2014 The Council has up a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Public Health Services to allow the Council to buy Public Health Services from a list of approved providers who meet a certain minimum standards and agree to a common set of contractual terms Approved providers will then be able to bid for the Council's contracts to deliver Public Health Services.Kent County Council's Public Health department is developing a programme to systematically reduce physical inactivity across the county to help improve outcomes for Kent residents.It is anticipated that 3 separate pilot projects will be funded in 2015 to test a variety of commissioning models. The overall aim is to evaluate these pilot projects is order develop a county-wide programme for Kent.The Council requires an organisation with a strong track record in delivering physical inactivity interventions to deliver each of these projects. Each pilot will deliver a different approach based on the Department of Health's Let's Get Moving (LGM) commissioning model.This pilot project will be the first to commence and has a specific focus on recruiting and screening physically inactive individuals through primary care settings to receive behavioural change interventions, with follow-up over 12 months.This pilot project will be for a contract value up to 50 000 GBP and must be delivered in north Kent, in partnership with Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group and Swale Clinical Commissioning Group.It is anticipated that the remaining 2 pilots will be released by March 2015 and ask for innovative approaches to delivering physical activity. Organisations that apply for this contract will not be excluded from applying for the remaining pilots.An invitation to tender will be released week commencing 23.2.2015 via the Public Health dynamic purchasing system with plans to award a contract at the end of March 2015. The selected provider will need to mobilise soon after contract award date.Any organisation who wishes to tender for this opportunity must submit a successful DPS questionnaire before the 23.2.2015.
