You are invited to submit your expression of interest in tendering for the following:Pilot Scale Supercritical / Liquid Carbon Dioxide Extraction Equipment - This will involve the following:Supply of one (1) extraction plant for extraction with liquid or supercritical carbon dioxide having the following minimum specification;Extractors: 2 - 1 basket for each, top and bottom removable. Integral hoist to be suppliedOperation: Extractors to be usable with or without basketsGross volume: 15 litres each extractorNet volume: 12 litres each extractor with basket in placePressure: 65 – 700bar ±2barTemperature: 5 – 80oC ±1oCCO2 flow-rate: 10 - 50kg/min ±1% of flow-rateSeparators: 2Gross volume: 1 or 2 litrePressure: <200barTemperature: Each independently controlled 20 - 70oCDraining: Automatic programmable drain valvesPressure control: Automatic back pressure regulator suitable for operation with liquid or supercritical CO2 fitted with valve heater (<100oC). All pipe work from extractor to separators to be trace heated.CO2 recycling: Continuous recycling of CO2 in liquid or supercritical operationAutomation: Full automation of all aspects of equipment operation with data logging and energy monitoring. Automation supplier to be agreed.Materials: Frame and equipment to be constructed in 316L (1.4404) stainless steels with harder quality for extraction vessels compatible with working pressure and temperature. Gaskets to be either metallic, PTFE or other compatible elastomers.Dimensions: To be assembled on skids of no more than 1130mm (W) x 1130mm (D) x 2000mm (H)Safety: All burst discs and vent lines to be routed into a common manifold with buffer tank, vent to outside via 25mm pipeConformity: Construction to CE conformity, vessels to designed, manufactured and inspected to meet European PED 97/23/ECDelivery: To be delivered to Bangor University within 26 weeks of finalised specification.
