The project objective is to remove the existing ford crossing of the Afon Eden and reinstate it as an Irish Bridge using a galvanised steel 'battle deck' construction. The works will include site clearance of tree branches and small trees, temporary diversions to the river for staged construction of the abutments and removal of the existing ford bed, erection of the bridge deck and construction of the approach works and fencing.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
