Plate Reader
Descriptions
Cardiff University (the “University”), for its project SEPSIS, requires a plate reader to be an integral piece of equipment for confirming mechanisms of action and assessing infection in different types of assays. A plate reader with modes to support Fluorescence Intensity, Time Resolved Fluorescence, TR-FRET, Temperature Control, CO2 control, Absorbance and luminescence. The multi-mode Microplate reader is required for the detection of chemical, biological and physical reactions by measuring emitted light whilst minimising operational time and thereby reducing costs. The instrument will need to be able to read a minimum of 10 plates per day and produce an output in the form of .csv or.txt files so that these can then be used in downstream analysis packages. Graphs and/or heat map representations of the results would be desirable but not essential.
