This is a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) for information purposes only. The PMEN is being published to advertise a Preliminary Market Warming Event to be held online on 28 October 2025 where more information about the contract for Carer Service will be shared.
It is not a formal invitation to tender. You will need to respond to the tender notice in order to be considered for these contracts. The purpose of this PME is to maximise transparency and competition for the upcoming tender notice. All details in this PME are subject to being updated or changed in the final tender notice.
Unpaid carers are people who provide care for a friend, family member, or neighbour who has an illness, disability, mental health concern, or who is older and needs extra support. Unpaid carers do not receive any payment from the council or a private company for this caring role.
The Carer Service will be located in Southwark and will offer a range of services for unpaid carers living in the borough. The Carer Service will aim to improve the wellbeing of unpaid carers, empower them in their caring role, and support them to access health and care services and other voluntary and community services that can offer support.
The PMEN fulfils the requirement for a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice to be issued under the Procurement Act 2023. Organisations interested in this opportunity should complete the enclosed form, a link to the event will be sent upon receipt of the completed form. The event will be held on 28 October 2025 from 2pm to 3pm via Microsoft Teams.
