The contract for essential re-roofing & associated conservation/repairs at Pontypridd Museum (Grade 2 Listed), Bridge Street, Pontypridd will comprise:- Complete re-slating & minor localised repairs to roof timbers- Complete replacement of rainwater goods with cast iron- Reinstatement of timber gable/barge details to match originals- Construction of new dressed stone chimney and copper ventilation cowl- Specialist redecoration of internal ceiling- Minor localised structural repairs to roof and wallsA list of named specialist sub-contractors will be provided for manufacturing the roof ventilation cowl, and for the specialist re-decoration of the ceiling. The Principal Contractor would need to work closely and take responsibility for the selected sub-contractors.Please note that:- Since the building is Grade 2 Listed by Cadw, the work must be of a high conservation standard and quality.- The building will also remain in partial use by the client.The contract will be the JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2005.
