Portesbery School in Deepcut (Surrey Heath) were commissioned to provide Short Breaks services as part of the current service, initially with an annual grant to run after school clubs, which was increased to support a summer club as well.
The scheme has been very effectively managed by Portesbery, delivering good performance in years 1 and 2 of the contract, with year 3 and year 4 disrupted by COVID.
For practical reasons the school is unable to deliver the full service in year 5 (2022/23). Specifically, they cannot manage and resource the summer scheme in 2022 or the after-school club in the autumn term (Sept-Dec 2022) and spring term (Jan-Mar 2023) terms, but is in a position
