Social Care Wales has produced a five year strategic plan (the strategy) for Care and support at home in Wales, launched in March by Rebecca Evans AM, then Minister for Social Services and Public Health. The strategy was based on evidence and developed in partnership through a steering group.The strategy outlines the broad areas where change is needed to improve care and support delivered to people in their homes. It incorporates a wide range of care and support, including domiciliary care (home care), the roles of unpaid carers, direct payments, supported housing, assistive technology and community groups.We have recently commissioned a Positive Risk and Shared Decision Making report. The report came with five recommendations, of which we are now looking for a supplier to help us explore how best to take forward the two recommendations below;1. A list of core principles in relation to positive risk to be co-produced with individuals who need care and support, and with a range of professionals.1.
