Post-implementation evaluation of Part 2 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 - Homelessness Legislation

Descriptions

In 2014 The Housing (Wales) Act received Royal assent. This new legislation enshrined in law; a duty for Local Authorities in Wales to focus on the prevention of homelessness . The changes made as part of this fundamental reform came into force in April 2015 and the Welsh Government is now seeking to commission experienced contractors to undertake an evaluation of this ground-breaking legislation. The evaluation will encompass both process and impact elements, with the aim of evaluating the impact of the legislative changes on people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, Local Authorities and a number of other key stakeholders.
