This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been issued by The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (“ORE Catapult”) and is for market research purposes only. It will assist ORE Catapult in ascertaining the level of interest and determining the most suitable route to market.This PIN will not be used to reduce timescales in any future planned procurements.As part of a potential major capital investment upgrade on the ORE Catapult Blyth site, it may be necessary to demolish the current administration building, Offshore House, and also a structural framed annex building close by.Offshore House is approx. 18m x 25m and is a 3 storey, flat concrete roof and brick building, built in the 1920’s.The structural annex building is approx. 18m x 50m and is a single storey steelwork framed construction adjoining as a lean-to from the blade testing facility.The building is steel clad and has a pitch roof. It has a surrounding brick wall up to windowsill level.The demolition works would be undertaken on an operational working site and would be undertaken in compliance with current CDM Regulations.All opportunities for recycling and salvaging materials in the most sustainable means possible would be encouraged.It is the intention of ORE Catapult to facilitate an open day and invite all interested parties to attend site for this. It is proposed that this will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 06 March 2024 (subject to confirmation) All parties who have expressed an interest by 12 noon on Wednesday 28 February 2024 will be issued a site visit request form to be completed and returned no later than 12 noon on Friday 01 March.
