The SES Project aims to increase the number, sustainability and growth of emerging and established social enterprises through Networking, Marketing and Research and by building better businesses through Organisational Development allowing for the identification and plugging of gaps in delivery and spatial targeting.The overall SES Project objectives are to:•identify gaps in service provision and research new opportunities for the social enterprise sector•develop and implement a co-ordinated marketing and networking plan to create an enabling environment for social enterprises to grow and develop•streamline and improve organisational development support that more appropriately meets market demand•increase the social and economic impact of social enterprises•prepare the sector for long term sustainability.Organisations are invited to express an interest in supporting the delivery of the Project’s objectives by proposing additional Initiatives to be developed and delivered under the Project. The Wales Co-operative Centre is looking for Initiatives that will offer specialist skills and expertise, innovative or best practice delivery and ideas that could complement the existing service and bring added value to social enterprises. All proposed Initiatives will need to support at least two or more of the following specific Initiative objectives:•The creation of new social enterprises •The creation of new jobs in social enterprises•An increased level of social enterprises delivering public services•An increased level of social enterprises winning contracts with public sector organisations•Improved operational systems in social enterprises•Increased level of investment secured by social enterprises•Improved performance of social enterprises in triple bottom line.Prospective bidders can request the PQQ SES Initiatives 0210 (PQQINIT0210) Pre Qualification Questionnaire up until Monday 8th March 2010 by e-mailing a request to Christine Heath at initiatives@walescoop.com. To express an interest prospective bidders must submit the completed PQQ documents by 14:00, Monday 15th March 2010.Responses will then be assessed and as a result potential suppliers will be selected to proceed to the next stage of the procurement process by being invited to tender. It is estimated that up to 12 organisations will be invited to submit a tender.
