NHS Bassetlaw CCG sought to commission a Primary Care Psychological Therapies (PCPT) service that will be a community based service, building firmly on the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme (see http://www.iapt.nhs.uk/).It will offer a range of evidence based psychological interventions including NICE approved / recommended psychological therapies in line with relevant clinical guidance; associated with improved service user outcomes and recovery rates.The Primary Care Psychological Therapies service will deliver a Step 2 and Step 3 IAPT 'Plus' service model.
