Descriptions
NHS England Specialised Commissioning is planning to commission centres to provide Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Autotransplantation for Chronic Pancreatitis (Adults) and is inviting all suitably qualified providers to complete a Soft Market Testing Questionnaire. Interested parties should respond to this notice as the responses to the questionnaire will be used to support the identification of the future commissioning route for the new service. Interested organisations are invited to join a market engagement event delivered via a WebEx session on 25 Sept 2018, 10.30am-11.30pm. The purpose of the WebEx session is to tell you more about the service requirements and enable you to raise questions related to the services. To complete the soft market testing questionnaire and access any supporting documents please: (a) Register on https://ardengemcsu.bravosolution.co.uk. The Bravo project reference number is project_1098 Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Autotransplantation for Chronic Pancreatitis (AdultS). (b) Complete and submit the soft market testing questionnaire pqq_530 by no later than 4 October 2018 at 5pm. (c) Register for the WebEx session by sending a message via Bravo Messaging (pqq_530 on https://ardengemcsu.bravosolution.co.uk) 1) In the message title please indicate: WebEx for Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Autotransplantation for Chronic Pancreatitis (Adults). In the body of the message please: - provide full name of your organisation and name and job title of the attendees; - indicate the region you are interested in (North; South, London or Midlands and East); More information about the service can be found on https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/clinical-commissioning-policy-total-pancreatectomy-with-islet-auto-transplant-for-chronic-pancreatitis-adults. This document contains the service requirement. The policy above suggests that up to 4 service centres (one per region) may be allocated nationally. Thus, the proposal put forward with this PIN consists of 4 centres as potential lotting model for the service. The soft market questionnaire will allow interested organisations to propose an alternative approach (up to the limit of 4 allocated centres nationally in line with the policy) and provide reasons for their proposed model Note that the value stated in section "2.Value Information" is the maximum value that may be agreed for the entire contract duration including the option to extend (assuming a total duration of 4 years). The value is indicative and is based on an analysis of provider costs to deliver the patient assessment, surgical management and on-going management of eligible patients. For more information about this exercise and the lots (centres) proposed please refer to the attachment in section "6.
