Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) will be commencing a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and Market Engagement for Educational delivery of PG Certificate in Healthcare Practice for Primary Healthcare professionals. The PG Cert Healthcare Practice As part of the expansion of the GP workforce, the GP Forward View outlined entry for 250 post-CCT Fellowships annually. In London this has taken the form of the PG Cert in Healthcare Practice and is open to both early career and newly qualified GPs and Practice Nurses taking part in the SPIN- New to Practice Fellowship scheme. One of the main drivers of the fellowship scheme is to support the permanent workforce in general practice and provide a range of portfolio offers for fellows, which includes the PG Certificate in Healthcare Practice educational opportunity to enable further development professionally and clinically. Fellows undertaking the PG Cert will have protected time every 1 day per week, and the course aims to improve skills in leadership, evidence-based practice, education and enable additional peer learning as a group. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to advise prospective providers of the Commissioners intention. We plan to hold a Market Engagement session on 7th April 2022 to share more information with organisations interested in this opportunity. The event will provide an opportunity for potential providers to find out more about the aims of the tender, the process and will include a general discussion with Q&As. Please RSVP by 12pm on 1st April 2022 with the name, title and contact details for attendees (a maximum of two attendees per organisation) to: PrimaryCare.London@hee.nhs.uk An MS Teams invite will be sent on prior to confirm the Market Engagement Session on 7th April 2022, 9am - 10am. HEE will use the opportunity to gather intelligence, which may influence and inform the development of the final tender. The contracting authority reserves the right not to proceed with the Procurement, or any part thereof, or change the requirements as necessary at any time. The Contracting Authority requests that all communications are channelled through the e-portal system and not with the Contracting Authority itself other than as expressly permitted within this invitation. The procurement will be conducted as an Open Procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and is expected to be published 19th April 2022. A separate advert will be released advertising the opportunity.
