Priority Grassland Habitat - Small Areas Management Scheme Pilot
Descriptions
Welsh Government require a delivery partner to run and administer a five year pilot for results-based management of Lowland Neutral Unimproved Grassland in Ceredigion. Main tasks required: identify ten suitable locations (average 2ha); mentoring; administer and arrange payment for land-based actions; monitoring; analysis of results.Since 2002, the implementation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Agriculture (Wales) Regulations has highlighted many smaller areas of habitats ‘of principal importance to Wales’ (as listed at Section 7 of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016), are in sub-optimal condition and at high risk of agricultural improvement. Many owners of these habitats will be ineligible for mainstream land-management support, therefore this pilot has been developed by the Welsh Government EIA Unit to bring this priority habitat into optimum condition, using outcome-based methodology.Contact EIA.Unit@gov.wales for further information.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=116863.
