Private Hire Taxi Concession at Birmingham Airport

Descriptions

Birmingham Airport has benefitted from significant passenger growth in the past few years and following a review of surface access options an opportunity has been identified to introduce a dedicated private hire taxi service to the Airport to complement the existing hackney carriage operation and offer our passengers a choice of onward travel options. In order to provide this additional service, Birmingham airport have decided to appoint a 3rd party to set up and operate an official private hire taxi service on a concession basis. The concession shall operate for either a 3-year period or a five year period. The Airport will seek proposals on both options. The Private Hire Taxi service will provide passengers the ability to pre-book single and return journeys both online / via an app and in person at the airport. It will also provide companies the ability to charge taxi journeys to a corporate account.
