Bereavement services form an integral part of services for those who have experienced bereavement of various types, including loss due to ill health, violent circumstances, trauma and injury, whether expected or sudden. Individuals cope very differently when faced with loss and often experience delayed grief, some months or even years after the event., The Bereavement Service provides dedicated bereavement counselling in Hackney aiming to improve the mental wellbeing of bereaved family members, carers, relatives and friends. The service will identify those who may need more intensive input either from the service or who may benefit from referral to other services.
