PROCUREMENT OF PROSPECTIVE PROVIDERS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION SYSTEMS FOR AR

Willmott Dixon are appointed Scheme Managers for the arbed 2 ERDF Mid to North Wales for the delivery of Energy Saving measures to homes within 8 appointed Local Authorities, schemes will be identified on an annual basis after application by the Local Authorities to the Welsh Government ( WG). They work with the Assembly Government and with local authorities to ensure that investment meets strategic priorities.Willmott Dixon wishes to procure a 12 month Agreement with a select number of Suppliers and Installers for the delivery of the arbed 2 ERDF Scheme in Mid to North Wales.Willmott Dixon will expect System Suppliers and Installers to work in collaboration with development teams and their consultants in order to:•Develop locally based supply chains•Improve quality and reduce costs•Improve performance and promote innovation •Share performance data across the arbed 2 ERDF delivery teams•Participate in employment, training and other community investment initiatives to maximise wider community benefits •Support initiatives to reduce the environmental impacts created by the intended works.This is a labour only EWI contract. Willmott Dixon are running a similar procurement process for EWI system designers and suppliers. It is expected there will be up to 3/4 systems selected by the system designers and will ensure all insulation options are available. The installation contractors in consultation with the system suppliers can select the most appropriate system for the particular scheme if this is not stated in the scheme design. Where a contractor is not already approved for a selected EWI system, system designer will provide product installation training for your entire workforce. This training will be provided free of charge by the System Designer/Provider but the System Installers will be expected to cover all other costs.The majority of the works will involve working in occupied homes, therefore it is essential that the System Suppliers and Installers selected have the necessary skills to communicate with residents and appreciate the concerns they may have in relation to works being undertaken in their homes.More information is given in the attached documents
