Procurement of services for WasteDataFlow Administration and Management.
Descriptions
Managing the collection and validation of data through an existing online survey system known as WasteDataFlow (WDF) and host the web and database servers for the online system. The purpose of WDF is to provide good quality timely data on Local Authority (LA) collected waste (formerly known as municipal waste). The term of the contract will be from 7.1.2015 to 6.1.2018, with an optional extension period in 12 month increments of up to 2 years.WDF is a quarterly survey of LA waste management and recycling activity in the UK, collecting data online into a database via a website www.wastedataflow.org Although WDF is jointly owned by Defra, Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), this contract will be with Defra, the majority partner taking responsibility for coordinating this project at UK level. The services to be provided shall cover the overall administration and operation of WDF for data collection across the UK and in addition the validation of data for LAs in England.
