Procurement to support coordination of the supply chain for retrofit at the local level

As part of a wider programme of work to improve the energy performance of owner occupier properties, as set out in the Clean Growth Strategy, and the Call for Evidence on “Building a market for energy efficiency”, BEIS is seeking to launch pilots to test approaches in five different geographic regions for increasing the rates of energy efficiency improvements in non-fuel poor homes particularly alongside renovation work, by providing support for local supply chain integration and project coordination. The funding awarded by BEIS would be used over 3 years to develop a sustainable model for driving retrofit in a local area, in particular, addressing the non-financial barriers to retrofit such as trust, hassle factor and lack of awareness.
