Brecon Cathedral has have obtained a NLHF Development Stage Heritage grant and the project will repair the roofs of the building, create a new west entrance, and deliver reordering of the interior, as well as community, sustainability, and interpretation goals.We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate and assist in the management of the Development Phase of the project, working closely with the Dean and Chapter through the Project Board, overseeing or partly-overseeing the Architect, the consultant team, project staff, and volunteers, and fully engaging local and wider stakeholders.The Project Manager will be coordinate all the work required to prepare and submit the Delivery Stage application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.The Project Manager will be contracted by the Dean and Chapter to work an average of three days per week for 52 weeks. It is expected that at least two days a week will be spent on site including attendance at all Project Board meetings. The Project Manager will sit on the Project Board.The Project Manager will be required to:Sit on the Project Board.Lead, manage, and coordinate the project team, including the Architect, consultants working for the Dean and Chapter to develop the project, and volunteers.Help to plan and support the development of the project and ensure that timescales and deliverables are achieved.Mobilise and co-ordinate resources.Ensure compliance with requirements of funding bodies.Help with the management of the Development Phase within agreed budgets and timescales.Support the recruitment, appointment, and evaluation of design, business, and activity consultants, and contractors.Support the Dean and Chapter, the Friends of Brecon Cathedral, and the fundraising consultant in the implementation of the Fundraising Plan for the project and liaise with donors and funders as appropriate.Monitor project progress and provide regular formal update reports to the Dean and Chapter through the Project Board.Provide regular update reports for funders and supporters.Coordinate the production of all materials for the Delivery Phase application to the NLHF including the Activity Plan, the Interpretation Plan, the Business Plan, and the Fundraising Plan.Prepare and write the Delivery Phase Application to the NLHF.Coordinate periodic review meetings with the NHLF and their project monitor.Prepare monitoring reports, and plan and manage ongoing evaluation of the project.Oversee the work of project staff, consultants and/or volunteers to deliver activity and outreach.Participate in community engagement, in particular developing relationships with community groups, community development partners, and other stakeholders as required.Support and help develop the volunteer force of the project as a significant people resource for the Cathedral.Support the evaluation consultant through the monitoring and evaluation of the project in the Development Phase.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=129519.
