The Llwyddo’n Lleol programme is an innovative scheme which has been developed to foster a culture of enterprise amongst young people. This is an invitation to tender for the development and implementation of a series of entrepreneurship modules. It is expected that the Entrepreneurship Modules will be designed and delivered to a group of pupils between year 9 and year 11. A variation on the modules will also need to be implemented for post 16 students whom attend Further Education Colleges. The aim of this activity is to encourage young people to consider a future as entrepreneurs and to develop enterprise skills. The objectives of the activity are to: * Introduce the concept of entrepreneurship, within the context of rural communities, as viable and exciting career option* Introduce, examine and practise key entrepreneurial skills that are vital when seeking employment or self-employment* Explore in particular the concept and practise of environmental sustainability in venture creation.* Facilitate a strong working relationship between young people and local business people. * Allow the chance for young people to put these skills into action, through venture planning, development and implementation. This work will be required to result in an accredited and approved Level 2 qualification, using the Edexcel BTEC Award in Workskills (Level 2) using the following units: Unit 28 Planning an Enterprise Activity, Unit 29: Running an Enterprise Activity and Unit 30: Producing a Product of the Workskills framework accreditation. We will consider consortium bids by way of a sub-contractor for the purpose of this task.
