The Llwyddo’n Lleol programme is an innovative scheme which has been developed to foster a culture of enterprise amongst young people. This is an invitation to tender for the development and implementation of a series of creative idea generation sessions, and advice and support to develop an application pack to apply for the Llwyddo’n Lleol Bursary to enable young people to establish their own small scale ventures. This activity will take place in both the informal education sector (youth clubs, youth groups, groups of interest), and also within Secondary Schools and Further Education Colleges in Gwynedd. Idea Generation Sessions will be held with groups of young people both in the informal and formal education sectors. The main aim of the Idea Generation Sessions are to facilitate and support young people to identify ideas which could be developed into small scale ventures. Further workshops will be offered to support and develop viable ideas for venture creation identified during the Idea Generation Sessions. Activities will include developing the enterprising skills of young people through the introduction and explanation of key business planning elements, such as Market Research, Marketing and Finance. Support and guidance will also ensure that young people have the skills and knowledge to establish and run a small scale venture. The activities will be required to result in an accredited and approved Level 1 qualification, using the Edexcel BTEC Award in Work skills suite.
