There is a need to procure specialist reablement training to support our existing workforce with the practical skills, knowledge and strategies to deliver person centred, outcome driven reablement focused care.The programme should support the key objective of prevention and early intervention identifying all opportunities to re-able – increasing independence, decreasing risk of dependency on statutory services and enabling people to remain within their own home and community. The focus initially will be on Residential and Domiciliary Care Staff working with Older People. However the training should be versatile to roll out to staff in other client groups.
