Proofreading service of digital version of The Welsh Academy English-Welsh Dictionary
Descriptions
During 2007 the Welsh Language Board secured a licence from the editors of the The Welsh Academy English-Welsh Dictionary to publish the Dictionary in a digital format.The Board is inviting tenders from individuals and companies interested in offering the service of proofreading the digital version of the Dictionary. The purpose of the proofreading service would be to ensure that the digital version reflects the content of the most recently printed version of the dictionary.Ideally the tenderer will be able to provide at least 40 hours of service from 1 July 2011 onwards. However, requests from companies or individuals who wish to provide a fewer number of hours each month. It is essential that the providers have high level language skills in Welsh. As well as providing the proofreading service, providers will be required to communicate in Welsh in the training that is provided and they will be required to communicate in Welsh with officers from the Board and with other providers.This notice has been published in Welsh only as a fluency in Welsh is an essential requirment in the delivery of this contract.
