Provider Engagement Event Swansea CouncilSwansea Council will be holding a supplier engagement event at 9:30 am on Friday 25th June 2021 via Microsoft Team’s.The event includes all Social Services (to include Adult and Child & Family Services) non-regulated and supported accommodation provision for 16-25 year olds, including Housing Support Grant, Spot Purchasing, Grant (Innovation) funded provisions & When I’m Ready. Including Care Leavers & Young People presenting Homeless.At this event we will share current and future challenges facing the sector and outline our approach to identify commission options for an effective accommodation and support offer that is coproduced with young people that use services with a clear focus on outcomes that the young people receive.The event will enable Providers to learn more about what future commissioning and service delivery model may look like, and the support available to help provider organisations understand our commissioning requirements and complete a competitive tender application process.Commissioning options will incorporate the following principles;•Consideration to manage the complexity of need, resilience, flexibility of support available to young people and identifying a joint management of risk with providers.•A multi skilled housing related support service for young people in temporary supported accommodation with the following needs: -•Homelessness/ threatened with homelessness,•Experience of Adverse Childhood Experience’s•Substance misuse•Offending issues•Mental Health•Learning Difficulties•At risk or experiencing exploitation•Vulnerable•Care Leavers•Support provision that will empower young people to develop and/or maintain the skills and independence to maximise their ability to live independently by adopting a strength based approach which explores a variety of innovative ways and options to meet young person outcomes.•Ensure prevention and early intervention are realised and strengths that supports when I am ready placements or for young people to stay at home.•Compliance with Legislation changes and the Welsh Government Pathway Plans.There are a limited number of spaces available; therefore a maximum of 2 representatives per organisation may attend.Please note the event will be delivered in English, please let us know if you require an alternative format.The event will be held on Microsoft Team’s with a prompt start at 9:30 am, we hope you can join us at this event and look forward to meeting you.Please register your interest by emailing Katie.Anthony@swansea.gov.uk by June 21st 2021 to enable a secure link to be sent to you.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=111173.
