Provider Engagement Sessions for Financial Well Being Advice and Support Services

Descriptions

Communities First teams are funded by the Welsh Government and work with residents, community organisations, businesses and other key agencies to narrow the education/skills, economic and health gaps between our most deprived and more affluent areas. The Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (WIMD) is used to determine which areas are most deprived. As part of this work Bridgend County Borough Council intends to procure Financial Well Being advice and support services to mitigate the effects of poor understanding or management of personal income and finances by those living within the Communities First clusters. All service users should be experiencing some financial difficulty due to a lack of financial literacy/capability, low confidence in managing their finances, high/unmanageable debts and/or not maximising income, which can include state benefits. There will be engagement sessions to provide an opportunity for Communities First, Bridgend County Borough Council to engage with providers in advance of any procurement exercise, and as part of the engagement process will seek the views of providers to identify a realistic service model. Details of the proposed service outcomes and general parameters will be available on the day for discussion.Provider engagement sessions of 30 minutes are available from 9.30am - 4pm on Thursday 19th June 2014 for a maximum of 2 personnel per organisation. 8 Sessions are available on a first come first served basis.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=11143.
