Provider Event for the Procurement of a Short Breaks Service within Bridgend County Borough

Bridgend County Borough Council has recently undertaken significant stakeholder engagement in co-producing a new service pathway model for carers that will enable carers in Bridgend and the people they care for to maintain their independence and wellbeing. Following this exercise, Bridgend County Borough Council is now planning to procure a Short Breaks service.We are interested in working with a range of registered domiciliary care providers who have experience of working across specialist client groups, and we are keen to commission providers that are flexible in their delivery, that provide a high quality service, and are responsive to the changing needs of carers and individuals who are in receipt of replacement care.This engagement session is in opportunity for the Council to test out our initial ideas and draft service model in advance of a planned procurement exercise. As part of the engagement process, we will be seeking the views of providers to understand any barriers they are faced with, and will seek feedback from a provider’s perspective to help inform the final service model and specification that we plan to tender shortly.The Provider event will take place on Friday 8th February at 1.30pm – taking place at the Stage Door, Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl, CF36 3YW.Please note there is a maximum of 2 personnel per organisation who can attend.To book a place on the provider event, please email richard.thomas1@bridgend.gov.uk.
