Providing support, maintenance and Cloud services management for the MCA Consolidated European Reporting System (CERS)

Descriptions

CERS is the Consolidated European Reporting System which supports the United Kingdom in fulfilling its maritime reporting requirements under international legislation. CERS will allow ports, shipping agents and vessels to meet reporting requirements in a user-friendly and modern application. The information collected by CERS is sent onwards to the European hosted THETIS system, where it can be accessed by MCA Surveyors and inform the UK's vessel inspection regime. An API tool also allows manipulation of the CERS dataset to respond to government and industry queries. CERS is cloud hosted and not managed as part of the MCA network. An external supplier is required to maintain the system, troubleshoot errors, and liaise with external bodies that have system connections.
