Torfaen County Borough Council is committed to the delivery of open and transparent democracy and democratic engagement.A range of initiatives have been introduced over recent months to try and progress this commitment. These have included a scrutiny transformation programme, the progression of social media use within the decision-making arena as well as the procurement and implementation of a webcasting solution.Building on these programmes, the Council is now looking to improve the way in which it manages and supports the decision-making processes in place across the organisation.The successful solution should be capable of ensuring that the Democratic support processes are as efficient and effective as possible through the automation of currently manual tasks.Perhaps as importantly, however, the solution should be fully inclusive and help key stakeholders understand and participate more fully in the democratic process.Should a solution be available that enables us to meet the requirements set out within this document the Council will take a huge step forward in respect of modernising its decision-making processes, increasing the levels of engagement with key stakeholders and dealing with the challenges of the coming years.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=2585.
