Provision of a Direct Payments Support Service to Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire County Council, acting on behalf of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, are looking for suitably qualified and experienced organisations to tender for the provision of a Direct Payments Support Service to the local Authorities from the 1st June 2010 for a period of three years. Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire have agreed to undertake a collaborative Tender exercise in respect of the Service but at this stage Ceredigion are unsure whether they wish to commit collaboratively. It is for this reason that this Tender will be offered as five distinct and separate Lots to allow the withdrawal of Ceredigion from the arrangement should they not wish to utilise it. Lot 1 Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion & PembrokeshireLot 2 Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire Lot 3Carmarthenshire - (200 Service users approx.)Lot 4Ceredigion - (130 Service users approx.)Lot 5Pembrokeshire - (260 Service users approx.)The term Direct Payments encompasses Direct Payments, Third Party Payments, Independent Living Trusts and Managed Accounts.The attention of any prospective Tenderers is drawn to the provisions of the Acquired Rights Directive 77/187/EEC and the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 which in the view of the Council may apply to these contracts. To this end a TUPE Confidentiality Declaration (Document 8) is attached which you are required to complete and return to Julie.randell@pembrokeshire.gov.uk in order to receive relevant TUPE information prior to completing your Tenders.
