Soft Market Testing Exercise for the Provision of a General Advocacy Service in Rhondda Cynon Taf.Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council (The Council) is undertaking market testing to help inform future commissioning and contracting options to provide Generic Independent Advocacy services across the Rhondda Cynon Taf area for people over the age of 18 years who have a care and support plan and those that require the support of an advocate to access the Information, Advice and Assistance service.There is also a need to identify more specific types of advocacy services that the Council may wish to commission including advocacy services for people in care homes, in the community, adults with a disability as well as carers within the community. In addition an advocacy service will need to be available to services users involved in the safeguarding process.The Council would like to understand from providers how these requirements might best be met and discuss any new and innovative ways of delivering this service. Organisations that are interested in participating in this exercise are invited to complete the attached Request for Information and submit via e-mail to charlotte.burgess@rctcbc.gov.uk by 12 noon, 29th March 2016. As part of the market testing exercise, the Council may also wish to invite organisations to participate in discussions regarding advocacy services. Please note that any procurement of any Services, supplies, or works by the Council in due course will be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions of the UK and EU Procurement Regulations. All information provided in the questionnaire responses and any subsequent discussions will be strictly confidential and will assist the Council in shaping and scoping requirements and provide insight into the most suitable delivery model going forward.
