Provision of a Housing Related Floating Support Service for Young People

Flintshire County Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of a Housing Related Floating Support Service for Young People in the County.The service will provide floating support to individuals (both genders) aged between 16 and 25 who need support to maintain independent accommodation. The project will work closely with the relevant agencies to ensure referrals are received from those who most need support to maintain accommodation. It is envisaged that referrals will be accepted from Homeless Prevention Officers who identify young people in accommodation at risk of becoming homeless. It is also expected that referrals will be accepted for individuals who are placed in temporary or permanent accommodation which does not have support attached to it.There is an existing contract for this service which expires on 1st November, 2011. Information about the current service will be included in the tender documents. The contract will be awarded for period of 1 year with the option to extend for a further 1 year. The start date for the contract is 2nd November, 2011.
