Hanover Court is a 4 storey Sheltered Housing complex in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, comprising of 34 individual flats with communal areas comprising - corridors and laundry room. Tenants will be in occupation throughout the contract.We have used Alumasac Roofing Systems to survey the property, they have provided a Survey Report, Layout Drawing, Specification together with Schedule of Works all to our requirements.We are not bound to use the Alumasac Roofing System and are open to accept other roofing systems of equal quality and specification.The existing roof is flat bitumen based felt, the overall condition is good. There is a deep external gutter mid roof on the main block and on the side of the adjoining section.These are not in a good condition and have outlets that discharge to internal rainwater down pipe system, there are also problematic.These downpipes have been boxed in with brown asbestos boarding which has been cladded over.Our main requirement was to remove this system and have the direction of falls adjusted and the rainwater to discharge to guttering at the edge of the building. This means that we can leave the asbestos sealed up in the building.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
