It is expected that where individual clients do not use / require the full 8 sessions, unused sessions would in effect by ‘recycled’ meaning that additional clients would be offered blocks of counselling, ensuring that the total of 1,200 appointments are used. Counselling may be provided at ABUHB venues or at the provider’s own venue/s.Some clients (approximately half) will have had initial contact with a PCMHSS Practitioner that has led to a clear and specific plan for the therapeutic intervention to be carried out and would therefore not need to be seen for ‘re-assessment’ by the provider, who should be able to proceed directly with counselling / psychotherapy. Some (approximately half) would need to be seen for assessment by the provider in the first instance to identify the focus for counselling / psychotherapy and the approach that would be most likely to be appropriate for the client. There would be a requirement for the provider to provide ABUHB with a monthly update regarding all clients who have been allocated to the referrer, to include fro each patient:• Dates of appointments offered to individual clients and whether appointments were attended, DNAs, cancellations by client or cancellations by the provider• A brief update report on completion each individual counselling episode to be included in the GP record, to include number of counselling sessions offered / attended, goals of counselling, and outcomeNOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=85061.
