Provision of Android Tablets

South Wales Fire & Rescue Service is looking to procure Android-based tablets as part of an agile working policy within the Business Fire Safety Department. We are looking at a number of devices based upon initial research undertaken by the Fire Service ICT Department, alongside our strategic partners at West Midlands’ Fire & Rescue Service.We require a series of quotes for the equipment listed below. Upon evaluation of the selected quotes, a procurement decision will be made.As a minimum, the device must meet the following criteria:•Screen Size: 10” approx as a minimum•Data Connection: 3G minimum + WiFi•Storage: 16GB minimum with option for micro SD expansion•Ruggedisation: The tablet should be “business rugged” (small drops, bumps etc., toughened screen e.g. Gorilla glass), there is no requirement for full ruggedisation.
