Descriptions
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service acting on behalf of themselves and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service are inviting tenders from suppliers interested in providing a service to test and maintain their Breathing Apparatus Cylinders.This requirement will be split into 2 Lots:Lot 1 - Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service (MAWWFRS)Lot 2 - South Wales Fire & Rescue Service (SWFRS)This contract will also be open to North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, should they wish to participate at any time during the term of the contract.Suppliers may bid for either or both Lots.Suppliers will be required to carry out periodic statutory hydraulic testing and maintenance of Breathing Apparatus Cylinders in accordance with all current and relevant standards by means of a rolling programme.The successful contractor will be required to provide the service until 31st December 2015 with an option to extend for upto a further 2 years. Both Lots will be evaluated on the basis of 40% Price and 60% Quality - for additional information please see the ITT document which can be found in the resources section below. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS NOTICE WAS TEMPORARILY RETRACTED ON 30/07/10 AS THERE HAS BEEN A REVISION TO THE SPECIFICATION FOR LOT 2 - SOUTH WALES FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE. THE SUPPLY OF VALVE SERVICE KITS AND "O" RINGS WILL NO LONGER BE REQUIRED FOR LOT 2, ALTHOUGH IT WILL REMAIN A REQUIREMENT FOR LOT 1 (MAWWFRS).
