Monmouthshire County Council is looking to re-procure a provider of its Bulky Waste Collection Service. The contract will run from 1st July 2015, and will be a 5 year contract, with the option of a two year extension, on agreement of both parties.The contract will be for the collection of bulky waste items from households in the County of Monmouthshire. Monmouthshire is located in South East Wales and has a population of approximately 92,000 and a size of 85,000 hectares. The contract will also include the processing of such material, with a requirement to reuse and recycle as much of the material collected as possible. The contractor will be required to provide a high quality, efficient, cost effective, and sustainable service.The contractor will also be expected to be able to deliver high reuse and recycling rates and a local social benefit through the offer of training, volunteering, rehabilitation and the provision of subsidised furniture for people in need.
