Provision of Catering Training to NOMS/ Prison Catering Staff in Food Nutrition and health/hygiene.

The Authorities requirement is to have training provide for catering staff. The qualifications in food hygiene and food safety will ensure that staff are trained in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament. They also ensure NOMS meet the expectations of wider Government agencies such as Food Standards Agency and Department of Health. This will predominantly involve the training courses on: Level 3 (Intermediate) Food Safety; Level 4 (Advanced) Food Safety; Level 3 (Intermediate) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Food Safety System; Level 3 (Intermediate) Food Safety Management Refresher Course; Level 3 (Intermediate) Nutrition for Healthier and Specialist Diets; and associated services.
